 -In the Netherlands famous words of the Head-Icemaster of the district of Friesland who announced in january 1997 that  the ice was solid enough to allow the  traditional 200 km. ice-skating-marathon Elfstedentocht (Elevencities-tour) through Friesland to take place, for the first time in many years.
